Volunteer Vacancies – Enhancing Visitor Experiences

Do you have a love for history or gardens, a gift for storytelling, and a knack for connecting with people?

The Almonry, a heritage building, and its neighbour, the fascinating Battle Town Museum, need volunteers like you to welcome our visitors to Battle and bring our heritage building and 125 million years of Battle’s rich history to life. The beautiful walled gardens are also a point of interest, so we are also seeking people with an interest in gardens – expert or amateur – everyone is welcome to join the team.

“Our primary goal is straightforward: to facilitate the enjoyment of Battle and its wealth of historical and modern attractions for as many individuals as we can.” Our dedicated volunteers serve as the welcoming ambassadors of our charming town. They are often the very first individuals who greet our visitors, extending a warm reception and offering valuable insights. As a volunteer, you will yourself embark on a journey of discovery, immersing yourself in the rich tapestry of our town and engaging with a diverse array of individuals. Each day promises unique experiences!
