Having considered the recommendations made by the Examiner’s report, and the reasons for them, Rother District Council in conjunction with Battle Town Council (the Qualifying Body) has agreed to accept the modifications made to the draft plan under paragraph 12(6) of Schedule 4B to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 in response to the Examiner’s recommendations/modifications.
The referendum took place on 16th September 2021, with the following results

The turnout was 24%, which is average for local elections.
The plan was formally adopted by Rother District Council at Cabinet on 18th October 2021, with the result that the Plan now has legal force in determining local planning applications.
