The skate ramp at the top of Battle High Street was installed in the late 1990’s when Battle Youth Centre was on the site. In 2018, following an inspection, the ramp was closed off as it was no longer safe.
It was hoped the ramp could be repaired but reports advised the ramp needed replacing. The Town Council were keen for this facility to be reinstated for the benefit of the town and agreed to take responsibility for the replacement of the ramp.
A contribution form ESCC and funds from our local CIL enabled us to fund this replacement ramp , and donations from Battle Muffin Club enabled us to provide a picnic bench on site. This project was completed in 2021 and is already well used by the younger residents of our town.
