Final Call! to submit nomination papers for the May Election

The deadline for the delivery of nomination papers for the coming election is 4pm on Tuesday 4th April.

Battle Town Council is offering space at The Almonry on Tuesday 4th April at 10am for any member of the public wishing to complete their nomination forms for the May Elections. There is also an opportunity to have an informal conversation about the election process and the role of a councillor with the Town Clerk, Carol Harris. Should it be appropriate, we would also ask you to circulate this invitation to anyone you think would make an excellent town councillor.

Battle Town Council does exciting and rewarding work. An integral part of a councillor’s role is engaging with local people, groups and businesses to determine their needs, making decisions on the services and projects the council should take forward, and getting involved to ensure services meet the community’s needs.

We need people from all backgrounds and experiences who reflect the communities they serve to put themselves forward for election. If you are (or you know somebody who is) passionate about our local community, Battle Town Council needs you. Councillors make a huge difference to the quality of life of local people and how local issues are dealt with.
