Calling All Community Heroes

Parish Council Election Update:

There are enough Councillor nominations for a quorum, but not enough to require a poll. Some seats require co-option. This means that where there are insufficient candidates, those who are and remain validly nominated are declared elected. Providing this constitutes a quorum (3 or 1/3 of the total membership, whichever is greater) the remaining vacancies can be filled through co-option.

This is good news for those who may wish to become a Councillor without the need to stand for election.

Battle Town Council has FOUR vacancies for co-option

We are calling people from all backgrounds and experiences who are passionate about their local area to put themselves forward. If you are an enthusiastic and engaged member of the community, would like to make a lasting change, have innovative ideas or concerns about a specific issue, please consider becoming a Councillor.
