A Brand New Tapestry in Battle

A two-metre-long panel commemorating the events of the year 1066, using Roman numerals, has been designed by Tina Greene. The tapestry starts with Harold being made king six days into the new year, and ends with William made king, six days before the end of the year. Come and find out (and stitch) what happens in between!

Please come and help Tina stitch this new embroidery in the Almonry – Cllr Vikki Cook, and the lovely Margaret Emeleus have already enjoyed a session.

All are welcome to join our Town and Community project, experienced stitchers and beginners, old and young, everyone who would like to add a creative stitch or two – there is plenty to do.

Open on Thursdays, from 11am to 3pm in the Almonry

and on Saturdays, from 10am to 2pm in the Library (but not 29th July).
